This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Gurbani Flow ("Application") for mobile devices. The Application provides a distraction-free environment for reading Gurbani (Sikh scriptures), including Nitnem banis, with audio playback support.

The Gurbani Flow Application is designed with privacy in mind. The core reading functionality works entirely offline and does not require any personal information.

If you choose to use optional features like Cloud Sync, you may provide:

Your phone number (for authentication via OTP)
Your reading preferences and bookmarks

Registration is optional. You can use all core reading features without creating an account.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including:

The type of mobile device you use
Your mobile operating system
General usage patterns (which banis are read)

This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the Application. We do not collect your precise location.

Third Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Analytics - For anonymous usage statistics
Firebase Authentication - For optional account creation (Cloud Sync only)

These services have their own privacy policies. Only aggregated, anonymized data is shared.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device.

If you have created an account and wish to delete it, you can do so within the Application's Settings, or by contacting us via email.

Data Retention Policy

User Provided data (bookmarks, preferences) is retained for as long as you use the Application. Automatically Collected analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.

Age Restriction

This Application is intended for use by individuals of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All communications between the Application and our servers use HTTPS encryption.
